Color Scheme for Paints

.

Have you ever wondered how a mix of different colors or the blend of two colors brightens up a room, painting, or outfit? Have you ever liked the combination of two contrasting colors? Have you ever got positive vibes in a house just looking at the color of the walls? If you have, then you have already experienced a first hand view of color scheme.

Why should one use a color scheme?

As mentioned earlier a color scheme helps make a room more appealing, bright, beautiful and interesting. It arrests the attention of a person, giving liveliness to the house and helps build an atmosphere of something attractive. Well matched colors and designs provide ambience to the house. According to the rooms such as the Hall room, Dining room, Bedroom, color schemes can be matched to bring out an appropriate atmosphere to the room.

Making the right choice of color scheme

Choosing the right paint color can be very difficult. The color of the room sets the tone of the house. Hence, it’s important to make the right choice of color. Too many choices and options of different paint colors can get you all confused. Hence one should patiently and systematically choose the right colors for scheming. One should match the color scheme with the wallpapers, carpet and fabrics of the room. A blend of mild and loud colors make an exceptional color scheme as it removes monotony.

Warm and cold colors-

Colors have down the ages always been referred to as ‘warm’ and ‘cold’ colors. These colors either tend to heat the room or make it comparatively cooler; by the way the colors either absorb or reflect heat. Colors such as orange, red and pink are known to be ‘warm colors’ whereas white blues, green and violet are ‘cool colors’.

Color contamination-

When applying a different color to a wall that already has painted before the color previous color might hamper the shade of the present color. For example, if applying pink paint on to a wall already having yellow paint the pink may blend with the yellow and produce a different shade. This is a common error found while color scheming and painting. Hence, all previous color on walls etc. should be removed before applying fresh paint.

A few tips and hints for good and affective color scheming-

  • One should not try to blend too many different colors together as is creates an atmosphere of confusion and looks a total mess. One should repeat colors here and there but at the same time should not make it monotonous
  • Add dressmaker details to build interest in the color scheme as it enables the house to look attractive.
  • Division of different shades in colors can make the color scheme look proportionate. It makes the room look both sober and bold. Merges the intensity of colors providing the color scheme to be balanced.
