How do I set up a home office? Currently I work from my study but would like to convert it to a proper office.

That’s a great thought as home office is a brilliant way to save many expenses. To begin with don’t install a desktop but buy a laptop instead if you don’t have one already. This will give you much more mobility and comfort. Have a phone and answering machine installed too.

Get a laptop, fax machine, scanner, printer and a dedicate phone line for work and you are sorted.

Install a proper office desk and chair as that gets you in a mood to work. I would also recommend having a coffee machine along with all office equipments so that you are not tempted to visit the kitchen again and again and distract your mind. Keep all stationary stuff handy like paper, pen, pencil, stapler, envelopes, paper clips, stamps etc. and don’t forget to decorate the place with soothing plants and accessories to feel energetic and calm at all times..

According to the Live Work Network, the number of people working from home has gone up 21 per cent since 2001, Those unemployment statistics are far from inspiring, but on the upside, working from home is booming.
